Chapter 7: Spiritual Health and Abundance: Practical Steps
There are many ways that spirituality can inform and support healthy living. In this chapter I discuss how spiritual practice can be a central aspect in developing personal integrity and a guide in defining and achieving health and growth. When we make decisions based upon our personal integrity, our choices reflect our core values and make our lives more meaningful and congruent. There are four key steps involved in the process of spiritual nourishment, especially as an adjunct to a psychotherapeutic approach. These are: (a) awakening to spirituality, (b) cultivating personal integrity, (c) evaluating life-structures, and (d) remembering and committing to spiritual practice.
