In Chapter Ten I address how spiritually-oriented psychotherapy can assist people to function more effectively in their lives and reclaim their connection with their Real Self. I discuss an approach that integrates various psychological models with spiritual themes and practices. The approach incorporates research highlighting the factors that account for psychotherapeutic change, including client variables and the alliance between the client and therapist. The focus is on how clients can use spiritually-oriented psychotherapy or counseling to support their health and healing.
